IT Support Specialist II
During my time in college I learned about common computer components, troubleshooting techniques, and creating websites and databases.
In 2020, my last Fall semester, I was a student technician on my school campus. I was tasked with setting up IT devices, installing software, and assisting teachers and students with devices issues. I also ran campus errands, and assisted administrative staff.
Currently I am an IT Support Specialist II for Effingham County, GA Board of Commissioners. I provide technical support for County employees. I teach end users how to use software they are not familiar with, and install new parts into County machines when needed. Also, I use Active Directory and Office 365 on a daily basis for login resets, creating and terminating end-user accounts, and setting up file access/Microsoft license type(s) for each user. Other daily tasks include troubleshooting, installing software, and settings up new equipment.
For most of my time here, I also recorded the board meetings using the AV equipment installed in the Admin Complex (audio recordings, and live streaming to Youtube).
